Parents ask, "What does my daughter need for Softball?"
Each player should have their own glove and rubber cleats. While the league supplies all other necessary equipment, we strongly suggest that you purchase a batting helmet as well. Older players need sliding shorts/pads. You can pick up ALL of your sporting needs at Cheers Sports in Ashburn! Little League patches should be sewn on the left sleeve or the left chest area if the jersey is sleeveless. Cheers Sports can provide this service to you for a small fee. |

Remember, player development should always take precedence over winning. If you don't put a player out on the mound and give them the chance to fail, learn and try again, then you're doing that player a great injustice. You have to be willing to "suffer through" the ups and downs of such young players and sacrifice winning games.
It all comes down to perspective. |

***Notice***
There have been a few incidents at local fields throughout the county to be aware of. Please keep an eye out for strangers "hanging around" and possibly taking pictures and making attempts to talk with the girls. Remember, absolutely no one but a registered volunteer is allowed in the dugouts with the players. If you see someone that you don't recognize, make contact and find out who they are and if they should really be there. If not, contact the police if you see suspicious behavior. |
