Loudoun Girls Little League Softball takes the Little League International Safety Policy very seriously. Whether dealing with basic first aid or adhering to the lightning policy, following proper safety guidelines is everyone's priority.

Each year, LGLLS updates and publishes its Safety Plan and submits it to Little League International for approval. You can find that document on our website under the Documents section.

Highlights of the Plan:

1. Lightning Policy
2. Safety Clinics for All Managers

LGLLS takes the security of all minors seriously. Background Checks will be completed for every person prior to coming into contact with the players.  Coaches should also ask parents to complete a Volunteer Application as you never know when another helper may be needed.   Volunteer Applications must be completed annually and are valid for that calendar year only.

LGLLS also advises volunteers how to be compliant with Mandated Reporter

We offer the State toll-free numbers for specific agencies designated to receive and investigate reports of suspected child abuse and neglect.  In Virginia, the contact information is:
Toll-Free: (800) 552-7096
Local (toll): (804) 786-8536
